Let's Talk About
Your Child’s IEP
I help parents of autistic children aged 5-13 secure the IEP and school support needed for their child's success in both school and life. By going beyond system thinking, I provide tailored behavior and communication support, empowering families to overcome challenges and thrive.

Imagine This...
Empowering your IEP Journey
No more waiting on the school to make changes. I’ll teach you how to shift your focus to what you can control for better outcomes—without needing the school to change.
It takes a village to raise a child, and your family is KEY! I help you go from feeling like a "Lone Ranger" to becoming a "Team Player" in your child's education journey. I’ll teach you how to pick IEP goals that truly align with your child's needs, future and your family’s values. With support, you'll have someone to talk things through with, ensuring that every step we take is in a productive and positive direction.
Achieving an IEP goal is a journey. I’ll show you how to track progress effectively, using my resources and support, so both you and the school stay on target and hit important milestones.

Hi, I'm Tasha!
I'm thrilled to have you here, and I want to start by acknowledging the challenges you're facing as a parent navigating the world of special education. It's tough feeling like you're constantly hitting roadblocks when trying to advocate for your child's needs within the school system. I get it, and I'm here to help.
As the visionary lead consultant at Autism Empowered Life Coaching Practice, I bring over 15 years of experience in empowering families with autistic children through education and social work. My own journey as a parent to an autistic son has fueled my passion for supporting families like yours, and it's what inspired me to establish this practice four years ago.
I know firsthand the frustrations that come with feeling unsupported and misunderstood by the school system. That's why I'm dedicated to helping you overcome these obstacles and ensure that your child receives the appropriate support and accommodations they need to thrive.

Questions ?
I help parents across Ontario and the USA with IEP struggles. The majority of these challenges stem from the Educational Act governing your city and the Federal Law applicable to all states. If anything specific to your state or city needs to be addressed, I’ll reference it directly, and I have resources available in all states to support state-specific questions.
2. Do you attend IEP Meetings?
Yes. I can attend IEP meetings. However; my goal is to give all the tools you need to be the voice for your child. My role at the IEP table is to support you and make sure your voice heard, request are respected, and proper decisions are being made.
3. Do you give legal advice?
No. I’m not a lawyer and I do not give legal advice. I can use the foundation of the Law/Act to support you, your IEP requests and help you negotiate for an appropriate IEP for your child.
